Vacation II: Hoh Rainforest

Next stop was the Hoh-rainforest, as expected it did rain there a little, though no hard rain, just drizzle. We looked out for the river otter we saw here last year, but only found tracks of it in the high grass. Pretty great place to stay - if you don't mind humidity:

 The lawns here are not mowed, it is deer that keep them short and other plants from growing.

 The trees here are large - but small compared to those to come further south along the coast. Next we are on the way to the Redwoods.

Vacation I: Lake Ozette

Finally Google does what I want it to do. Thus 3 blog entries will follow with a nice photo collection of our 2 week camping trip along the Washington and Oregon coast. We started a Lake Ozette in the Olympic National Park:

 

 The board walk to the Pacific Ocean coast. In most places it was not in such a good shape as here, but still we managed to even bring the stroller for Narne with some difficulties.

 Taking the train to Edmonds - a twenty minute train ride along the coastline north of Seattle

 arrived in Edmonds, playing at the beach, watching the ferry get unloaded and loaded, leaving to the olympic peninsula and waiting for Sunke to pick us up again

... we are good and busy with finishing off the preschool year which will end at the end of May. Then we have three months left to enjoy Seattle and get ready for our next move. Hope we will have a nice summer. For now it is still raining, raining, raining ...
